Sweet Grass Dental Associates

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide individualized and compassionate oral health care for children in a comfortable, fun, and child friendly environment and to create positive dental experiences that establish the foundation for a lifetime of excellent oral health.

Practice Philosophy

Each child is unique with individual characteristics, talents, and behaviors that define their personalities. We understand and appreciate these characteristics and realize that they allow each child to respond differently to their environment.

We are advocates for children and have only their best interests at heart. It is an awesome privilege and responsibility to assume the professional care for the oral health needs of children. We are honored to be entrusted with the care of your child and will treat them in the same manner we would wish our own children to be treated.

The role we will play in your child's health involves a partnership between us, you (the guardian), and the child. You can expect a professional and fun atmosphere when visiting our office and will be encouraged to be involved with your child's oral hygiene.

We enjoy watching children grow and become comfortable and confident in a dental setting. We are dedicated to making visits to the dentist comfortable and positive for your child. Our staff is very gentle and specially trained to work with children and help them feel relaxed in the dental setting.

We will involve you in the decisions regarding treatment for your child and commit to fully inform you of the possible treatments and outcomes of each option, moving forward only when fully understood and agreed upon by you.

As your child develops the necessary habits for a healthy mouth while they are young, it will benefit their overall health and self esteem the rest of their life. We believe that when a child leaves our office with a positive experience feeling good about what they have accomplished, it will build their self image and that confidence will carry over to other settings in their life. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to be involved with the growth and development of your child.

Prevention

At Pediatric Dentistry of the Rockies our emphasis with each child is prevention. We would much rather prevent dental decay than treat it. To help toddlers get a good start, and to comply with the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry that each child be seen by age of 1. We offer complimentary dental exams to children under the age of two. This is part of our infant dental care program.
